PIL Case Details

This PIL was filed raising the important issue of the lack of PET CT Scan (Whole Body) device at Acharya Harihar Post Graduate Institute of Cancer at Cuttack and other medical colleges having oncology department for treatment of cancer. As a result, patients are forced to travel to Kolkata or Mumbai to consult reputed cancer hospitals. The petitioner prays that the Court directs the installation of PET CT scan (who le body) and other latest equipment such as MRI and CT scan at the earliest and direct the Opposite Parties to ensure availability of all necessary lifesaving medicines at the 'Niramaya' Center of at Acharya Harihar Post Graduate Institute of Cancer Hospit al on 24x7 basis.
