PIL Case Details

The present PIL is filed with the petitioner being aggrieved by the inaction of the opposite parties, who have totally failed to renovate the pond situated at Sutahat, near Champion Biscuit Factory and remove all the garbage which is causing foul smell in the locality. The pond andits water have become contaminated and has become a threat to the residents residing in and around the said pond. The petition prays for directions to be issued to the Commissioner, CMC, Cuttack to take practical steps to maintain, protect, preserve and conserve the private tanks of Cuttack City as well as to ensure that hygienic condition is maintained in the locality to prevent epidemic like dengue and other water borne diseases which is apprehended by the general public of the Cuttack City.
