Former Judge

Born on 3.7.1956 at Cuttack. Passed High School Certificate Examination in 1st Division in 1972. Passed B.Sc. with distinction in 1976 at Ravenshaw College, Cuttack. Passed LL.B. in 1979 at M.S .Law College, Cuttack. Ph. D. in Law with project Bhubaneswar ‘Lok Adalat System in India’ at Utkal University, Vani Vihar, Bhubaneswar. Enrolled in Orissa State Bar Council 1980. Law Practice at Orissa High Court, Cuttack from 1981 to 1982.

Joined Orissa Judicial Service from 11.10.1982 to 31.12.1982 worked as Probationary Munsif at Cuttack. From 1.1.1983 till 1992 worked as J.M.F.C. at Bhadrak and Banpur as Subdivisional Judicial Magistrate at Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Udala and Karanjia. From 1992 to 1997 worked as Deputy Registrar, Customs Excise Gold Control Appellate Tribunal, New Delhi (CEGAT). From 1997 till 1998 worked as Registrar, Civil Courts, Puri. From 1998 till 2001 worked as Senior Civil Judge, Paralakhemundi and Aska. From 2001 to 2005 worked as Chief Judicial Magistrate at Keonjhar and Nuapara. From 2005 till 2007 worked as Additional District Judge, Nayagarh and Bolangir. From 2007 till 2009 worked as Additional Secretary, Law Department, Govt. Odisha, Bhubaneswar. From 2009 to 2014 worked as Director, Odisha Judicial Academy, Cuttack. From 2014 to 2015 worked as District Judge, Khurda at Bhubaneswar.

He served as Judge of Orissa High Court from 17.04.2015 - 03.07.2018.
