Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhabani Prasad Ray, properly known as ‘Felu Bhai’ took oath as an Additional Justice of the Orissa High Court on 7th November, 2007. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Bhabani Prasad Ray took birth in the green picturesque land of Jagatsinghpur district reticulated with rivers and canals in Shibapur village of Biridi Block on 2nd March, 1955 when the joys of his late father Sarat Kumar Ray and mother Arnapurna Ray knew no bounds.
He completed his Secondary Education at Queen of the Missions High School, Berhampur and College education from B.J.B. College, Bhubaneswar and Kendrapara College, Kendrapara. He obtained LL.B. Degree from the Utkal University Law College, Bhubaneswar. He started practicing law from the month of January, 1979 and proved himself as an eminent Lawyer in the fields of Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law and Taxation Law. He was elevated to the post of Additional Standing Counsel of Commercial Taxes for his outstanding performances during 90’s and continued as such for a period of three years.

His Lordship served as Judge of Orissa High Court from 19.03.2014 till 21.04.2016.
