Born on 24-4-1930. Matriculated in the year 1945 from Baripada High School, District Mayurbhanj. Graduated in commerce in 1950 and obtained M.Com and LL.B. degree from Lucknow University.
Entered Orissa Administrative Service in the year 1955, and consequent upon separation of Judiciary from the Executive in the year 1960, absorbed as Munsif. Promoted finally as District and Sessions Judge with effect from 1-5-1972. Worked in different capacities, namely, District and Sessions Judge, Puri, Bolangir, Special Judge, Bhubaneswar to try C.B.I. and vigilance cases, Presiding Officer, Industrial Tribunal and Registrar (both Administrative and Judicial at different times) Orissa High Court till 14-7-1986. On setting up of the Orissa Administrative Tribunal, joined as a Member on 15-7-1986.
He served as the Judge of Orissa High Court from 5.4.1989 - 23.4.1992.
