Born on 28-10-1928. Enrolled as an Advocate at Cuttack in October, 1954 and did practice in Civil and Criminal side in Berhampur District and Sessions Judge 1978-79. District & Sessions Judge, April, 1972 and confirmed as District Judge in April, 1973. Worked as District & Sessions Judge from 1973-75. Additional Legal Remembrancer and ex-Officio Joint Secretary to Government of Orissa, from 28-7-1975 to 25-10-1978. Additional District and Sessions Judge 1978-79.  District & Sessions Judge, Puri 1979-80. Worked as Secretary, Law Revision Committee-cum-Additional Secretary to Government of Orissa 1980-82. Chairman, Arbitration Tribunal Orissa 1982-84, and worked as Additional District Judge, Puri and Special Judge, CBI and Vigilance, Bhubaneswar from 1984 till his retirement on 31-10-1986.

He served as the Judge of Orissa High Court from 3.8.1987 - 27.10.1990.
