Judge

Mr. Behera was born on 23.05.1964 as the youngest son of Late Gadadhar Behera and Late Sabitri Behera at village Gobindapur under Remuna Block in the district of Balasore.

He passed matriculation from Remuna High School, Balasore in the year 1980. He passed I.A. from Udala College Udala, Mayurbhanj and graduation with Economic (Hons) from Fakir Mohan Collage, Balasore. He completed his L.L.B. from Utkal University having studied from Mayrubhanj Law College in the year 1989. He enrolled as an Advocate in the year 1989 under the Odisha State Bar Council, Cuttack. He started his practice under the guidance of the renowned Advocate of Balasore Shri Raghunath Pradhan conducting cases of Civil, Criminal, Revenue, Consumer and other branches of law.  He was a social worker most liked persons by the persons of his locality Grama Panchayat and as well as in the District Bar, Balasore. He became the Joint Secretary of Balasore Bar Association. He was the retainer of Transport Corporation of India. The people of his Grama Panchayat had chosen him as Sarpanch as a non-party person.  His soberness, knowledge and gentlemanship has been accepted by the members of all the Advocate of all the stations in which he has served.  After fifteen years of practice at Balasore Bar Association, he joined as the Additional District and Sessions Judge of Cuttack. He has served in the following station in Odisha.

He got elevated as the Judge of Orissa High Court on 05.09.2023. He is a prominent figure and a well known personality in the local area. He is known as a social worker in the locality as he worked for the welfare and up-liftment of the local community in his personal capacity. He has had very humble beginnings in his career. He possesses diverged knowledge different branches of law. He is known for his humility and simple attitude towards the people.
